Synopsis

Hemofilia adalah salah satu penyakit genetik yang termasuk penyakit langka; dengan prevalensi kasus 1 banding 6.000-10.000 kelahiran bayi laki-laki di seluruh dunia.  Meskipun begitu, angka kasus yang tercatat saat ini cukup besar, lebih dari 200.000 kasus hemofilia di seluruh dunia, dengan estimasi kasus di Indonesia adalah mencapai 27.000 kasus. Namun yang sudah berhasil tegak diagnosa hanya kurang lebih tiga ribu kasus, akibat kurangnya akses informasi dan akses kesehatan terkait hemofilia di Indonesia. Himpunan Masyarakat Hemofilia Indonesia (HMHI) memperkirakan bahwa jumlah pasien hemofilia yang terdaftar hanya sekitar 10% dari total estimasi pasien. Hemofilia kerap kali disalahpahami oleh masyarakat. Kurangnya informasi yang akurat dan terbatasnya sumber bacaan yang mudah dipahami sering kali menjadi kendala bagi para penyintas hemofilia, keluarga, serta tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan perawatan yang optimal. Buku Panduan Hemofilia: Pengertian, Pengobatan, dan Penggunaan Obat yang Aman dan Berisiko ini saya tulis dengan harapan dapat menjadi referensi yang komprehensif dan mudah diakses oleh masyarakat luas, khususnya komunitas hemofilia. Saya ingin berbagi pemahaman mengenai hemofilia, mulai dari aspek medis hingga pengobatan yang tersedia, termasuk perhatian khusus terhadap penggunaan obat-obatan yang aman maupun yang berisiko bagi penyintas hemofilia. Dorongan terbesar dalam penulisan buku ini adalah pengalaman pribadi saya yang kehilangan buah hati akibat perdarahan otak yang disebabkan oleh hemofilia. Kesedihan yang mendalam ini saya ubah menjadi motivasi untuk memberikan manfaat bagi mereka yang masih berjuang menghadapi kondisi ini. Saya berharap buku ini dapat membantu keluarga, pasien, serta tenaga medis dalam memahami hemofilia lebih baik dan memberikan perawatan yang lebih aman dan tepat.Semoga buku ini bermanfaat dan dapat menjadi salah satu langkah kecil dalam meningkatkan kesadaran serta kualitas hidup para penyintas hemofilia di Indonesia. Buku Panduan Hemofilia: Pengertian, Pengobatan, dan Penggunaan Obat yang Aman dan Berisiko hadir sebagai sumber informasi yang komprehensif mengenai hemofilia. Buku ini diawali dengan pemaparan dasar tentang hemofilia, termasuk sejarah, mekanisme pembekuan darah, penyebab penyakit, serta manifestasi klinisnya. Selain itu, disajikan pula data mengenai prevalensi hemofilia yang dapat membantu dalam memahami sejauh mana penyakit ini berdampak di berbagai populasi. Selanjutnya, buku ini mengulas berbagai terapi yang tersedia untuk penderita hemofilia, mulai dari metode konvensional hingga pendekatan modern yang lebih inovatif. Pembahasan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada pasien dan tenaga kesehatan mengenai opsi pengobatan terbaik yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup penderita hemofilia. Salah satu aspek krusial yang dibahas dalam buku ini adalah penggunaan obat-obatan yang dapat meningkatkan risiko perdarahan pada penderita hemofilia. Beberapa kelompok obat, seperti antiinflamasi non-steroid (OAINS), kortikosteroid, antikoagulan, antidepresan, antibiotik, hingga suplemen herbal, dikaji secara mendalam terkait efek sampingnya terhadap sistem pembekuan darah. Dengan memahami risiko yang ditimbulkan oleh obat-obatan tertentu, pembaca diharapkan dapat lebih berhati-hati dalam memilih terapi yang aman. Ditulis berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi penulis serta didukung oleh literatur ilmiah yang valid, buku ini ditujukan bagi penderita hemofilia, keluarga, tenaga kesehatan, serta siapa pun yang ingin memahami lebih dalam tentang kondisi ini. Harapannya, buku ini dapat menjadi panduan yang bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kesadaran, memperbaiki strategi pengobatan, dan membantu penderita hemofilia menjalani kehidupan yang lebih baik dan lebih sehat.
